Does an eSUN Refill Fit a Bambu Lab Spool?

Updated September 23, 2026

Not verified - community reports directly disagree. On one Bambu Lab Community Forum thread, multiple users report eSUN's Refilament fitting the Bambu Lab reusable spool "perfectly," with no adapter. In a separate thread, a different user reports needing a 3D-printed adapter (which they designed and shared themselves) to make the same kind of pairing work. Neither account is confirmed by eSUN or Bambu Lab, and they contradict each other - so SpoolNook is not picking a side.

The documented result

Does the refill physically fit the spool?

eSUN Refilament → Bambu Lab Reusable Spool

Not verified

Community reports directly conflict - some say this fits perfectly with no adapter, one says an adapter was needed - so this is not verified either way.

On the Bambu Lab Community Forum, multiple users report eSUN Basic PLA refills fitting the Bambu Lab reusable spool "perfectly" with no adapter. In a separate thread, a different user reports needing a 3D-printed adapter (which they designed themselves) to mount eSUN refill-line filament onto a Bambu spool. Neither report is confirmed by eSUN or Bambu Lab, and the two accounts disagree with each other.

Measurements: eSUN eSpool (retailer-reported): ~55 mm hub, ~200 mm OD, ~65.2 mm width. Bambu reusable spool: ~55 mm hub, ~200 mm OD, ~67 mm width. Close but not confirmed identical, and not the deciding factor here.
Limitations: This is exactly the kind of conflicting-evidence case SpoolNook's verification policy is built for: rather than pick a side, the pairing is marked Not verified. eSUN's own eSpool dimensions (reported at ~55 mm hub / ~200 mm OD by retailers) are close to Bambu's reusable spool, which is consistent with the "fits fine" reports, but that alone does not resolve the conflict - a close dimensional match does not guarantee the locking mechanism engages the same way across every unit or batch.

RFID / auto-recognition

Not documented - eSUN refills do not carry Bambu's AMS RFID tag.

Why the reports conflict (as far as we can tell)

eSUN's reusable "eSpool" is reported by retailer listings at roughly 55 mm hub diameter and 200 mm outer diameter - close to Bambu Lab's own reusable spool. That similarity is consistent with the reports that say eSUN refills fit fine. But a close dimensional match on paper doesn't guarantee the same result across every batch, unit, or refill variant, which could explain why one user needed an adapter. Without eSUN or Bambu Lab publishing a statement either way, and without a controlled, repeated measurement comparison, SpoolNook can't responsibly resolve this from two disagreeing forum posts.

What would resolve this

A statement from eSUN or Bambu Lab confirming (or denying) fit, or several independent, consistent measurements of eSUN Refilament cores against the Bambu spool hub, would be enough to move this from "Not verified" to a documented verdict.

Identify your spool first

This article covers Bambu Lab's current reusable spool. If you have a different brand's spool, see how to identify your reusable filament spool before assuming this applies.
