SpoolNook is free to use, with no registration or account system. This page describes exactly what the features actually implemented on this site collect - nothing more.

The compatibility checker

Checker selections are sent as URL query parameters (e.g. ?spool=...&refill=...) so results can be shared as a link. They are not stored server-side beyond normal web server request logs.

The correction form

If you use "Report a correction," we store the message, the page URL you reported it from, and - only if you choose to provide them - your name and email address, so we can follow up if needed. This data is used solely to review and act on the correction; it is not sold, shared with third parties, or used for marketing.

Shop orders

Online checkout isn't available yet - ordering from the shop currently means contacting us through the same form used for corrections, which stores the same fields (message, name/email if provided). If an order is placed, the shipping details you provide us are passed to our fulfillment partner (currently CJdropshipping) solely to fulfill that order, and not used for anything else.

Analytics

SpoolNook supports optional, privacy-respecting analytics for a small set of events (completed checks, unknown/not-verified results, source-link clicks, adapter-link clicks, and correction submissions), configured via an analytics provider and site ID. No tracking ID ships by default, and none is active unless the site operator explicitly configures one. If enabled in the future, this page will be updated to name the specific provider in use.

Cookies

A session cookie is used for standard Laravel framework functionality (e.g. CSRF protection on the correction form). No advertising or cross-site tracking cookies are set by this site.
