Adapters
When a refill or spool is documented as a Mismatch or Not verified pairing - like SUNLU's Gen 1/Gen 2 spools not accepting a refill coil, or a spool falling just outside a feeder's tolerance - a community-designed adapter can sometimes bridge the gap. SpoolNook doesn't host or redistribute adapter files; where we've found candidates, we link to the original creator instead.
Candidate adapters we haven't verified yet
During research for this launch, we found two community adapter listings that look directly relevant, but couldn't confirm their creator, license, or exact fit claims - both source pages blocked automated fetching. We're linking to them rather than describing them as documented:
- "SUNLU Reusable Gen 2 Spool AMS Adapter" on MakerWorld - title suggests it adapts a SUNLU Gen 2 spool to fit the Bambu Lab AMS, which lines up with the fit gap described in SUNLU Gen 2 vs. Gen 3. Not independently verified.
- "Bambu Lab Spool Adapter 82mm to 104mm Diameter" on Printables - title suggests a hub-diameter adapter for the Bambu Lab spool system. Not independently verified.
If you've used either of these (or another adapter) and can confirm what it does, let us know - corrections and community measurements are reviewed before anything is added to the dataset.
Before you print one
- Check the adapter's own listing for the exact spool/feeder pairing and generation it was designed for - an adapter built for one generation may not fit another.
- Respect the creator's stated license. SpoolNook links out rather than rehosting files specifically so their terms stay attached.
- An adapter resolving physical fit does not confirm material suitability or RFID/auto-recognition - those remain separate questions.
